Community Actions & Events
Put on two or more events in one calendar year, organised by your Plastic Free Community and open for all to attend.
Why?
Plastic Free Communities events are a big, bold way to launch the movement. By giving your community a sense of ownership and empowerment, everyone can understand why we’re on this journey and how they can take action. What’s more, community actions can contribute to other SAS campaigns that help us influence industry and governments.
How?
Here are a few ideas, and you can find more in the Plastic Free Community Actions Guide when you sign up:
- Hold a Million Mile Clean to clear up a local beach, riverside, street or green space.
- Work with a local supermarket to stage a Mass Unwrap.
- Give a talk or run a workshop in a community space to introduce people to the campaign.
- When you sign up, you’ll be able to order free event packs and other resources on your dashboard.
